Brief Biography:
Fr. Thomas P. McCreesh, O.P, was raised in Flushing, New York. After graduating from PC in 1965, he entered the Dominican Order and professed his first vows in 1966. Eventually he was ordained to the priesthood in 1972. He also received an S.T.L. from the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, D.C. and a Ph.D. in Semitic (Biblical) Languages from the Catholic University of America. He taught Old Testament at the Dominican House of Studies (1979-2003) where he also served as Student Master (Director of Seminarian Formation; 1993-1995). From 1987-1992 he was General Editor of Old Testament Abstracts, a scholarly bibliography of literature related to the Old Testament published by the Catholic Biblical Association of America. In 2004 he was assigned to the Theology Faculty at PC.
